RICHLAND - Sunnyside's girls volleyball team will retool following a 25-14, 25-12, 25-18 Mid-Valley League loss at Hanford last Saturday.
There were some highlights for the Lady Grizzlies, but not enough to earn their first win of the season. Alexis Ramos had five kills and Christy Linde contributed 13 digs to the Sunnyside cause. Kerri Urrutia helped defensively with nine digs.
"We're going to go back to basics," said Coach Angel Carrizales. "We're going to shuffle the line-up to see if we can re-establish the fundamentals."
With league matches this Tuesday and Thursday, Carrizales said the goal is to get at least one win before the varsity schedule calls for nearly a week-long break in competition.
Sunnyside (0-5, 0-6) is home Tuesday to play Selah at 7 p.m.
