OTHELLO - J.R. Camacho drove in four runs to spark the Grandview baseball team to an 8-4 CWAC South win at Othello on Tuesday.
Greyhound starter Tony Chester held Othello to three earned runs on two hits through five innings.
Chester received all the run support he would need as Grandview pushed across two runs in the first inning on Camacho's two-run single, and four more in the second stanza on a two-run double by Kevin Concienne and a two-run single by Rigo Rodriguez.
No-hit through the first three innings, Othello broke through with its first hit, and run, in the fourth on a solo home run.
Leading 8-1, control trouble got the best of Chester in the fifth inning, as he issued two walks and a passed ball to surrender three runs on just one Othello hit.
Rodriguez pitched two innings of shutout relief to quiet Othello and wrap up the league win for Grandview.
Concienne went 2-for-4 at the plate, including his two-run double, and Rodriguez was 2-for-4 with a two-run single. Camacho drove in his four runs with the two-run single in the first and two more insurance runs in the fifth on a sacrifice fly.
Grandview (2-3, 3-4) is scheduled to play Othello at home this Saturday in CWAC South action.
