Grandview School District new hires

GRANDVIEW - The Grandview School Board Monday evening approved the hiring of Pam Noel as a Grandview High summer school administrator. Noel held this position before and did an excellent job working with the students, teachers and parents, according to Minerva Morales, director of federal/state programs and curriculum.

The position holds additional responsibilities in working with the WASL Summer Remediation Program.

Also at Monday's meeting, the board approved the hiring of Jaime Morales for the position of technology facilitator and technology mini-grant Facilitator. Morales currently teaches 5th grade at Harriet Thompson and is an evening computer class instructor for the 21st Century program. He is also an active participant of the NO LIMITS technology grant.

Morales will develop and coordinate technology training on Outlook Express, Excel spreadsheet and Microsoft Word. In addition, he will facilitate five one-hour sessions for teachers awarded technology mini-grants on the infusion of technology into their math curriculum.
