Bill N. Sheeley, 81, a long-time Sunnyside resident passed away Friday, March 17, 2006, at his home surrounded by his family.

Bill was born in Whiting, Kansas, the son of Mark Vance and Ota (Gillispie) Sheeley. On June 17, 1946 he married Chelsea Snyder in Walla Walla. Bill served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He owned and operated Bill Sheeley Trucking since 1945.

He loved riding horses, trail riding and trucking.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Chelsea Sheeley of Sunnyside; two daughters, Joyce Powers (Jim) of Newport and Konnie Pritzl (Tony) of Kettle Falls; one son, Bill Sheeley (Jeannie) of Sunnyside; four grandchildren; one great-grandson; and one sister, Viola Sholtys of Longview.

He was preceded in death by parents; and numerous brothers and sisters.

A memorial service will be held Friday, April 21, 2006, at 11 a.m. at Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside.
