Jesus G. (Jesse) Ramirez, 56, of Sunnyside died Saturday, April 15, 2006, at his home.

He was born in Grandview. He served in the U.S. Marines and was a truck driver.

He is survived by his parents, Jacinta and Juvencio Ramirez of Grandview; his loving companion, Carmen Wilson of Sunnyside; three sons, Jesus Ramirez of Spokane, Joey Ramirez and Jose Rey Ramirez, both of California; two stepsons, Shawn and Lawrence Wilson, both of Sunnyside; two daughters, Teresa Ramirez and Nina Ramirez, both of Richland; two stepdaughters, Herlinda Ontiveros of Wapato and Rachel Vasquez of Kennewick; two brothers, Alex Ramirez of Nampa, Idaho and Andy Ramirez of Spokane; four sisters, Maria Acosta of Spokane, Connie Cantu and Teresa Gonzalez, both of Grandview, and Marcelina Ortega of Sunnyside; three stepgrandchildren, Lorenzo and Lexy Ontiveros, both of Wapato, and Ethan Morris of Kennewick; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Jesse enjoyed truck driving and fishing. He also enjoyed spending time with his companion, stepchildren and stepgrandchildren on the ranch. His smile and his jokes will always be remembered.

You came into my life and showed me so much. You've left behind with me memories I will never let go, so please wait for me at Heaven's gates until the day God calls for me. But until then, my Gordo, you will always be in my heart. Your companion, Carmen Wilson.

Memorial services were held Wednesday, April 19, 2006, at 1 p.m. at The Apostolic Church, 1510 E. Lincoln Ave. in Sunnyside. Valley Hills Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
