Erma Hogue, 88, of Renton and a long-time Grandview resident, died Tuesday, April 18, 2006, in Issaquah.
She was born Oct. 15, 1917 in Mount Vernon, Ill. to George and Mary (Beckham) Conner. She received her education in Grandview, graduating with the class of 1934. In 1936 she married Walter Krous in Grandview. Walter died in 1950. In 1951 she married Harold Hogue, and they made their home in Grandview. She worked as a secretary for Dr. Byam, retiring at 62. Harold died in 1993. In 1994 she moved to Renton to be close to her daughter and son.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Samson and her husband, George, of Renton; one son, Terry Hogue and his wife, Pollie, of Whidby Island; four grandchildren; and one brother, Herbert Conner of Pasco.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Walter Krous and Harold Hogue; and three brothers, Melvin Conner, Ervin Conner and Joel Conner.
Viewing and visitation will be held Friday, April 21, 2006, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, Grandview. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. at Grandview Cemetery.
