'Hounds cut loose to break 21-inning scoreless drought

GRANDVIEW - Scoreless for 21 consecutive innings, the Grandview baseball team broke out the bats in a big way yesterday for a 9-4 home victory over Othello.

The 'Hounds did most of their damage in a four-run fourth inning, which featured a two-run double by Tony Chester, as well as runs batted in by Adrian Jasso and J.R. Camacho.

Grandview's top of the line-up especially struggled during the scoreless streak, but they too broke out yesterday, going a combined 4-for-11 with three RBI.

Chester threw three innings of relief for the victory, scattering two hits and allowing no runs in relief of Kevin Concienne.

Grandview, 4-6 in league and 6-7 overall, hosts East Valley this Saturday.
