Chocolate is the downfall of many dieters. Its tempting aroma, it's rich, satisfying taste and even the deep, dark smoothness of its color leads astray those who are fighting the battle of the bulge.
However-chocolate can be beat!
I read some time ago that one can break oneself of one's obsession with chocolate by using meditation and a little mind-control trick.
It seems all you have to do is buy your very favorite type of chocolate, lie down in a comfortable, quiet place and close your eyes.
Well, there's a little more than that to it.
You must not fall asleep and you must tell yourself over and over again that you do not like chocolate.
After feeding yourself this verbal message at least 10 times, you must then feed yourself every bit of the forbidden treat-while holding your nose!
Sounds weird, huh?
But when you hold your nose, you do not taste the chocolate. What you are aware of is a greasy sensation, which isn't pleasant at all. In fact, it was so unpleasant and its memory so strong, that this chocoholic couldn't face a piece of chocolate for years.
However, I found that caramel took its place very nicely.
