OUTLOOK - On her way to work at the Sunnyside School District, Margaret Lopez of Granger spotted a large cougar Tuesday morning.
"It was about 6:40 a.m. and it was between exit 63 on I-82 and Swan Road on Hwy. 12," she said. "He was just sitting on the railroad tracks looking pretty."
She thinks it might be the same cougar her boyfriend spotted a couple of weeks ago.
Rudy Pina said he saw a cougar April 8 on Emerald Road, one mile east of Granger.
"A friend and I were doing some yard work when we saw it cross the road," Pina said.
Pina said he has made two calls to the Yakima County Department of Wildlife but has yet to be contacted by them. Lopez said she hasn't called anyone.
