Pedro P. Sandoval Jr., 64, of Grandview went to be with his heavenly Father after a long illness Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2006, at Prosser Memorial Transitional Long Term Care.

Pedro was born in Texas to Pedro and Simona Sandoval. Pedro married Rebecca Muniz in February of 1998. Pedro and Rebecca enjoyed traveling across the country in his semi truck. He was a professional long haul semi driver for many years.

He was known as a prankster with his numerous nephews and nieces, and he enjoyed a good barbecue.

He is survived by his loving wife, Rebecca Sandoval; his brothers, Fidel Sr.(Dominga) of Mattawa, Felipe of Texas, Celestino and Jose Jesus (Gloria) of Wendell, Idaho; and his sisters, Audelia S. Villanueva (Fidencio) and Emma Sandoval, all of Grandview.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Simona Sandoval; and his siblings, Sulema, Guadalupe, Enedelia, Alejo, Eva, Alicia, San Juana and Jose Sandoval.

He will be missed by all who loved him.

Viewing will be held Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2006, from noon to 6 p.m. with a Rosary to be held at 6 p.m. at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside. Mass will be held Thursday, Aug. 3, 2006, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sunnyside. Valley Hills Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
