Forgery reported in Grandview

GRANDVIEW - Grandview police responded yesterday to an apparent forgery.

A Grandview resident went to the police station at about 2 p.m. yesterday, where he filed a report that he last had his wallet at the Chevron gas station on Wallace Way. He said the wallet was lost or stolen and one of his credit cards was used for a purchase at R.E. Powell.

He said there have also been unauthorized charges on his bank account following the loss or theft of his wallet. The case remains under investigation.

Police responded to a total of 18 calls between 10:41 a.m. yesterday and 4:35 a.m. today, including the theft of a cordless power drill between noon and 1:30 p.m. yesterday in the 1300 block of West Third Street.
