Ervey Garcia, 58, of Prosser passed away Saturday, Aug. 19, 2006, at his home in Prosser, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born Feb. 9, 1948 in Mexico to Miguel and Tomasa (Prado) Garcia. Ervey moved to Sunnyside in 1968. On March 27, 1976 he married Angie Gonzalez in Prosser. He was employed for many years at Mid Valley Milling in Prosser. Ervey was a hard working man who devoted his life to the care of his three sons.

He enjoyed gardening and loved taking care of his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his three sons, Michael Garcia, Ervey Garcia Jr. and Adam Garcia and his wife, Mary Gutierrez, all of Prosser; the mother of his children, Angie Mendez of Prosser; his grandchildren, Alyssa Garcia, Destiney Garcia, Ervey Garcia III, Tristan Garcia and Eve Garcia. He is also survived by one sister, Rosa Garcia of Gandview; two brothers, Juan Garcia and Pepe Garcia; one aunt, one uncle and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Viewing and visitation will be held Thursday, Aug. 24, 2006, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside. Funeral services will be held Friday, Aug. 25, 2006, at 1 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside, with burial to follow at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens, Sunnyside. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
