Tools taken in theft in S'side

Tools, saws, a jigsaw and a grinder were taken in a theft Sunday, Aug. 20, at a Sunnyside home in the 400 block of Merrick Avenue. It was noticed Sunday when the door was found open, but the owner waited until yesterday, Aug. 23, at 4:51 p.m. to contact police, who were given the name of a suspect.

At 5:05 a.m. this morning a resident in the 400 block of South 13th Street reported someone had just broken the window of his vehicle and stolen a stereo.

At 6:37 a.m. this morning a resident in the 1300 block of Federal Way reported a stereo was stolen from her vehicle.

From 8:12 a.m. yesterday to 6:37 a.m. today (Aug. 24) officers investigated two automatic alarms, one disorderly conduct, three fights, one report of graffiti, one juvenile problem, one report of loud music, one missing person, two 911 hang-up calls, two suspicious people, two traffic problems, one vehicle prowl and a weapon violation.

They served three arrest warrants, gave two assists to residents and received three informational calls.
