Race horse stolen from Scoon Road

Ten thefts were reported to Sunnyside police over this past Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Among them was the theft of a race horse from property in the 900 block of Scoon Road.

The other thefts included:

-a child's red, RAZOR Pocket Rocket mini-motorcycle stolen from a residence in the 2600 block of Allen Road, reported at 5:57 p.m. Friday.

-Forty cones and street construction signs taken from North 16th Street, Beckner Road and Washout Road, reported at 6:16 p.m. Friday.

-a pressure washer stolen from a residence in the 300 block of South Fifth Street, reported at 6:51 p.m.

-Groceries and beer stolen from Fiesta Foods, reported at 5:19 p.m. Saturday by a security officer, who told Sunnyside police that a suspect left the area in a blue, 1997 or 1998 Ford Explorer, headed west on Morgan Road.

-wheel rims taken from a vehicle in the 400 block of Maple Way, reported at 6:03 p.m. Saturday.

-a red, 1994 Honda Civic, taken from a residence in the 1200 block of Heffron Avenue, reported at 5:58 p.m. Sunday by the owner, who told officers the vehicle, which had been left running while she went into the house, was gone when she returned to it.

-a car stereo taken from a vehicle parked at a residence in the 900 block of South Fourth Street, reported at 12:32 a.m. Sunday.

-a cart full of food taken from Safeway, reported at 10:30 p.m. Sunday.

From 8:29 a.m. Friday until 7:48 a.m. this morning (Monday), officers also investigated three violation of no-contact orders, two reports of vandalism, 13 traffic problems, 10 suspicious people, three reports of shots fired (with no suspects found), three 911 hang-up calls, eight reports of loud music, one loiterer, two juvenile problems, two reports of fireworks, seven fights, one abuse of drugs or alcohol, two custodial interferences, two abuses of a controlled substance, one civil problem, one citizen dispute, one assault, five animal problems, three alcohol offenses and four automatic alarms.

They also served eight arrest warrants, gave three assists to agencies and six to residents, provided three extra patrols, took a report of a recovered stolen vehicle and one of found property, made three checks on the welfare of residents and received 14 informational calls.
