MABTON - Superintendent of Mabton School District Sandra Pasiero-Davis presented an administrator leadership report at the Aug. 28th Mabton School District Board of Directors meeting.
According to Pasiero-Davis, at a recent administrator leadership meeting an agenda and guidelines for the way in which administrator leadership meetings are conducted were placed into effect.
A main objective of the leadership meeting, she said, was to create a team environment that would place the education of the students first, not work as a cluster of individuals in a counterproductive manner.
"It is a public group of leaders that will conduct itself in honest, open and respectful communication," said Pasiero-Davis.
Pasiero-Davis said, it was agreed by the group that leadership meetings would start and end on time. There will be a 60-minute meeting held that focuses on instruction and a 30-minute portion of meeting dedicated to business.
Many guidelines have been set forth to make the leadership meetings run efficiently and effectively.
"All members of the group are expected take on issues like professionals, follow group decisions and act as one voice, commit to meetings and offer no excuses about attending and avoid triangulation," explained Pasiero-Davis at Monday's board meeting.
The first part of the action plan to create an agenda has been put into place for the leadership meetings. The administrative leadership group will meet again on Sept. 12 to complete the action plan.
Administrator leadership meetings are held twice a month for administrators of the school district.
