The Wenatchee High School girls bowling team claimed a 3-1 victory over Sunnyside last Thursday.
In an earlier meeting this season, Wenatchee shut out the Lady Grizzlies, 4-0.
Sunnyside averted a second shutout by winning the first of two Baker games, 164-145. The Baker format calls for each member of the five-girl squad to alternate taking turns throughout the 10 frames. Wenatchee rebounded to win the second Baker contest, 199-151.
In the first two total pinfall games, Sunnyside was on the short end of 792-605 and 762-609 decisions.
Wenatchee was paced to the 3-1 victory by Sarah Hewitt and Kelsey Faulkuer. Hewitt rolled games of 188-190 and Faulkuer added 171-146 efforts.
In the losing cause, Veronica Uribe had the best performance on the day for Sunnyside. Uribe shot a 155 in the opener and closed with a 135.
Also competing for Sunnyside were Veronica Alvarez (121-128), Katie Weets (136-108), Kayla Coder (103-134) and Maribel Rodriguez (90-104).
The Lady Grizzly bowlers have just two regular season matches remaining-this Tuesday against Selah at Yakima's Minda Lanes and Tuesday, Jan. 17, at Sunnyside's Valley Lanes against the Eisenhower Cadets.
In JV action last Thursday, a 4-0 win by Wenatchee, Sunnyside received a strong performance from Vanessa Roman (143-155).
