Thomas "Tom" Irvin Smith, 59, of Grandview died Thursday, Jan. 12, 2006, at Walla Walla Veterans Hospital.
He was born Aug. 2, 1946 and was raised by his foster parents, Richard and Jane Warmack in Oroville, Calif. He enlisted in the United States Army in September 1963 and served in Vietnam. Following his honorable discharge from the service, he worked various jobs in law enforcement, biotechnology and also as a home contractor. On Jan. 20, 1990 he married Kathy Smith in Seattle.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Smith, of Grandview; his daughter, Tanya Jolly and husband, Ron, of Arizona; his son, Sean Smith of California; his stepdaughter, Diane Goodnight and husband, Kirk, of West Richland; stepson, Gary Smith and wife, Rebecca, of Seattle; and six grandchildren. He is also survived by his foster parents, Richard and Jane Warmack of Oroville.
Viewing and visitation will be held Thursday, Jan. 19, 2006, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, Grandview. Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 20, 2006, at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Grandview. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
