American Contract Bridge League results

The Sunnyside chapter of the American Contract Bridge League concluded its year with a bridge party at Beverly Montgomery's house in Sunnyside.

• Event winners included: North/South Marge Pugh and Audrey Pfluger first place in A; Marie Noon and Hsu-Jen Yang second place in A; Jerry and Corky Greenfield first place in B and second place in C.

• East/West winners included: Alan Franklin and John Greenhalgh first place in A, B and C; tied for second place in A were Eldon and Marjorie Gilmore and Stuart and Zemmie Iedeman. The Gilmores were also second in B and C.

Other winners for the months of November and December included:

• Nov. 3, George Williamson and Jim Tritz were first in A, B and C; Carroll and Kay Walker were second in A and B; Hsu-Jen Yang and Richard Haison were third in A and B; Marie Noon and Paul Burma were fourth in A; Carl McDonald and Judy Chester were second in C.

• Nov. 7, Marie Noon and Paul Burma were first in A and B; Leonard McGrath and Herb Warriner were second in A and B; Mary Suhadolnik and Jo Klarich were third in A and B.

• Nov. 10, Dudley Brown and Jim Flint were first in A; Marie Noon and Hsu-Jen Yang were second in A and first in B; Paul Burma and Carl McDonald were third in A, second in B and first in C. Jim Tritz and George Williamson were third in A and second in C.

• Nov. 13, Hassan Mojtahedi and Shakir Zaman were first in A; Duane and Carol Christenson were second in A; Vivian Martin and Leonard McGrath were third in A.

• Nov. 14, Alan Franklin and Paul Burma were first in A, B and C; Vivian Martin and Judy Chester were second in A; Marie Noon and Peter Thomas were third in A and second in B; James Lyall and Herb Warriner were fourth in A, third in B and second in C; Heidi Kamphuis and Doris Burma were third in C.

• Nov. 17, Vivian Martin and Judy Chester were first in A; Stuart Zemmie Iedema were second in A; Dorthy Aiken and Alan Franklin, and Herbert Wampole and Leroy Cain were tied for third in A and first in B.

• Nov. 21, Nancy Gorham and Peter Thomas were first in A; Connie Querin and Hassan Mojtahedi were second in A; David and Joanne Newman were third in A; Herb Warriner and Mary Conmy, and Dorthy Aiken and Bill Frozsherz were tied for fourth in A and first in B and C.

• Dec. 1, Ric Jerome and Richard Maison were first in A; Dudley Brown and Paul Burma were second in A; Leonard McGrath and Connie Querin were third in A; Vivian Martin and Judy Chester were fourth in A; Hsu-Jen Yang and Kay Teal were first in B; Dorthy Aiken and Alan Franklin, and Carroll and Kay

Walker were tied for second in B.

• Dec. 5 Marie Noon and Paul Burma were first in A and B; Dudley Brown and Vivian Martin were second in B; Jo Klarich and Dorthy Aiken were third in A and second in B; Connie Querin and Hassan Mojtahedi were fourth in A.

• Dec. 8, Wanda Kellett and Marge Pugh were first in A; Kay Teal and Paul Burma were second in A and first in B; Marie Noon and Hsu-Jen Yang, and Carroll and Kay Walker were tied for third in A and second in B; The Walkers were also first in C; Corky Greenfield and Marjorie Gilmore were second in C.

• Dec. 12, Nancy Gorham and Connie Querin were first in A; Mary Conmy and Leonard McGrath were second in A and first in B; Paul Burma and Alan Franklin were third in A and second in B; Dorthy Aiken and Jo Klarich were third in C.

• Dec. 15, Dudley Brown and Jim Flint were first in A; Leonard McGrath and Paul Burma, and Kay Teal and Hsu-Jen Yang were tied for second in A and first in B; McGrath and Burma were also first in C. Stuart and Zemmie Iedeman were fourth in A; Carroll and Kay Walker were fifth in A and third in B; Carl McDonald and John Greenhalgh were second in C.

• Dec. 19, Jo Klarich and Paul Burma were first in A; in a three-way tie for second, third and fourth were Nancy Gorham and Peter Thomas, Dudley Brown and Judy Chester and Vivian Martin and James Lyall.

• Dec. 22, Jim Flint and Richard Maison were first; Carroll and Kay Walker were second.

• Dec. 26, Doris Burma and Jo Klarich were first; Paul Burma and Hassan Mojtahedi were second.

• Dec. 29 Dorthy Aiken and Alan Franklin were first; Dudley Brown and Jim Flint were second.
