SCHS academic achievers named

The top students, academically speaking, have been named for the second quarter of the 2005-06 school year at Sunnyside Christian High School.

A total of 36 SCHS students are listed on the high honor roll, for those who earned a grade point average of 3.50 or above. Those students include:

seniors John Bosma, Megan DeGroot, Ben Dekker, Erika DeRuyter, Jamie Durbin, Juliana Erickson, Chelsey Jones, Jessica Schrotenboer and Kimber Tucker;

juniors Lucas Brouwer, Nick DeJong, Brittany denHoed, Brandon DeVries, Elizabeth Friend, Luke Meininger, Adrian VanOostrum and Tori Van Wingerden;

sophomores Jesse Brouwer, Michael DeGroot, Albert denHoed, Joey Elerding, Connor Erickson, Andy Freepons, Jason Friend, Laura Schrotenboer, Brenen Swofford and Yan Wang;

and freshmen Kaitlyn Broersma, Matt Crabtree, Erika denHoed, Naomi denHoed, Annaka Erickson, Christopher Newhouse, Taryn Sytsma, Kristen Van Wingerden and Melanie Van Wingerden.

Another 21 SCHS students have been named to the regular honor roll, for maintaining a grade point average between 3.00 and 3.49. They include:

freshmen Abby Bangs, Anna Bench, Leah Bosma, Jeremy Haak, Esther Ramos and Danny Van Boven;

sophomores Marc DeJong and Benjamin Tucker;

juniors Caitlin Aleman, Abby Berkompas, Teddy Berkompas, Makenzie Cleveland, Heidi Haak and Elizabeth Kennedy;

and seniors Jacob Bosma, Caleb Bron, Chad Den Boer, Kevin Floyd, Matthew Haak, Katie Schneider and Erica Smasne.
