Olivia (Liva) Aguilar De La Garza, 57, of Premont, Texas died Monday, Jan. 2, 2006. We knew little that morning that God was going to call your name, in life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same.

Liva was born May 26, 1948 in Sunnyside. She lived most of her life in Grandview except for the last 15 years in which she had made her home in Premont with her family. Liva received her education in Grandview. She held numerous employments in the Lower Valley. She at one time worked for the Grandview Public Works Department.

Liva loved spending time talking and helping out relatives and friends.

She left behind her husband, Rogelio De La Garza Sr.; her precious daughter, Denise, her pride and joy; two stepdaughters, Gloria De La Garza and Elda De La Garza; one stepson, Rogelio Jr. De La Garza; one sister, Esmeralda (Israel) Arevalo of Grandview; five brothers, Max Jr. (Oralia) Aguilar and Jess (Lenor) Aguilar, all of Grandview, Juan (Christina) Aguilar of Richland, Joe (Kathy) Aguilar of Lake Stevens, and Carlos (Ruth) Aguilar of Mount Vernon; and one half-brother, Andres Aguilar of Edcouch, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Maximo C. Aguilar and Matilde Aguilar Saldana; and one half-brother, Antonio Aguilar.

A Catholic Mass will be held Saturday, Feb. 4, 2006, at 11 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church in Grandview.
