Antique show coming to Grandview

GRANDVIEW - A Yakima antique show at the SunDome in April proved so popular that the same company that brought that show, Centralia-based JLC Promotions, will bring a similar antique show and sale to Grandview next weekend, June 10-11.

"We have so many clients from the Lower Valley we decided to bring a smaller version of the show down there," said Jay Chambers of JLC.

He said the drill floor of the Grandview armory will be filled with antiques dating back as far as the 18th century.

The antique show will be open Saturday, June 10, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Grandview Armory is located at 800 Wallace Way.

Admission price is $4 per person.

The show and sale will feature quality dealers from all over the Northwest, Chambers said. Dealers will be attending the show from as far away as Portland, Ore.; Boise, Idaho; and Spokane.

Chambers pledged there will be no items newer than 1965. "We are committed to vintage antiques," he said.

He said there will be items to suit all interests.

They include jewelry dating back to the 1700's, as well as enamel ware, French cafe furniture, Native American blankets and dolls, pottery, glass and oak items.

There will also be something for every pocketbook, said Chambers.

"We offer antiques for sale ranging from $5 to $5,000," he noted. "Our emphasis is not what it costs, but the quality and how old it is."
