On behalf of the Sunnyside Christian High School sophomore class, I would like to thank the following businesses for their generous support in donations toward the dinner held May 19 in conjunction with the annual SCS Booster Club auction: Darigold, Simplot, URM Cash & Carry/Yakima, Wal-Mart, Food Pavilion, Top Foods/Yakima, Rainwater Inc., Vibrant Health Foods and Safeway stores in Sunnyside and Grandview.
These businesses helped the SCHS sophomores earn a substantial amount of money toward their trip to Washington D.C. next spring with the Close Up Foundation. Close Up is an educational program where students travel to our nation's capitol to experience first-hand our government at work.
The class also thanks those who assisted in any way with dinner set-up and preparation, and the numerous individuals and businesses that purchased dinner tickets. The Lord has truly blessed us with a generous community, and we thank God, most of all, for His bountiful provisions.
