Buster "Bud" Leroy Dahnke, 74, of Grandview died Wednesday, May 31, 2006, in the arms of his beloved wife, Alice.

Bud was born March 8, 1932 in Grandview to Muriel and Frank Dahnke.

Bud lived in Colorado, Kansas and California before returning to Grandview. Bud worked as a wood furniture cutter for American Forest Products, retiring in 1992.

He is survived by his wife, Alice; sons, Ronald (Wanda) and Sam; and daughter, Cindy Aldrige. Also surviving are sisters, Bonnie Spencer and Mary Ann Reinert of New Jersey; one brother, Kenny of Denver, Colo.; granddaughter, Casey; great-grandson, Andrew; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, sister and brothers-in-law.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Shirley Shirley, Wanita Dahnke and Laverna Dahnke; and brother, Sam Dahnke. Bud's precious grandson, Kevin and his wife, Sabrina and Bud's son-in-law, John Aldrige also preceded him in death.
