S’side schools offer free summer meals to children

The Sunnyside School District will offer free lunches to all children 18 and younger on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays during the summer months.

Dinner meals will also be provided on Wednesday evenings.

Lunch times are scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Central Park on Tuesdays, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Sunnyside High School and Pioneer Elementary School on Wednesdays, and from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at South Hill Park on Thursdays.

The Wednesday evening dinner meals will be served from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Central Park.

Adults may also purchase the lunch and dinner meals at a cost of $3.

Hispanic GOP leader to speak

in S’side Friday

Raul Diaz, president of the Hispanic Republicans of Washington, will be the guest speaker at the Friday, June 9, Sunnyside Republican Club meeting.

The no-host breakfast meeting at the Sunny Spot Restaurant, scheduled to begin at 7 a.m., is open to all community residents.
