MARIA M. CORONADO
Maria M. Coronado, 86, of Grandview died Tuesday, June 20,
2006, at Kennewick General Hospital.
She was born April 22, 1920 in Devine, Texas to Donaciano
and Fransica (Ayala) Morado. Her family moved to Washington in 1962.
She worked as seasonal worker for Baker’s
Produce and Twin City Foods and Hillcrest Nursing Home. She retired in 1989.
She is survived by four daughters, Evangelina Rodriguez of
Kennewick, Alicia Vargas of Los Indios, Texas, Pearl Castaneda of Uba, Calif.
and Esmeralda Coronado of Yakima; one son, Julian Coronado of Grandview; one
sister, Guadalupe DeLeon of Texas; one brother, Juan Manuel Morado of Texas;
and a sister-in-law, Rosa Morado of Prosser; 22 grandchildren, 43
great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson; one
granddaughter; and two brothers, Manuel and Nicolas Morado.
Viewing and visitation will be held Thursday, June 22,
2006, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 6 p.m. at Smith
Funeral Home Chapel, Grandview. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, June
23, 2006, at 9:30 a.m. at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Grandview.
Burial will be at East Prosser Cemetery under the direction of the Smith
Funeral Home, Grandview.
HAZEL E. HOOKER
Hazel E. Hooker, 92, a former Mabton resident, died
Wednesday, June 21, 2006, at Grandview Health Care.
She was born Nov. 25, 1913 at Greenleaf, Kan., the daughter
of Elza and Minnie Ola (Worley) Bedker. On Sept. 27, 1947, she married Woodrow
W. Hooker in Sunnyside. Following their marriage they purchased a farm in
