Evelyn L. Fox, 69, of Mabton passed away Monday, Feb. 27, 2006, at Sunnyside Community Hospital.

She was born Aug. 2, 1936 in Moxee to George and Katherina Dalrymple. Evelyn lived in Mabton for the past 40 years. She was employed as a supervisor in food production.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Melvin Fox of Mabton; her children, Janice (Dale) Whalen of Anchorage, Alaska, Kathy Saunders of Sunnyside, Julie Cash (Ernie) of Victoria, Texas, Jim Fox of Sunnyside, Kelly Fox of Prosser and Don Pierce of Mabton; her grandchildren, Shannon, Megan, Alex, Cassie, Aaron and Josh; and great-grandson, Clayton; one brother, John Dalrymple of Yakima; and three sisters, Ruth Black and Lorene Dalrymple, both of Yakima and Gladys Bondurant of Port Angles.

She was preceded in death by her son, William, and a daughter, Sandra.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 4, 2006, at 11 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 2005 Lincoln Ave., in Sunnyside.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor her memory may contribute to the Sunnyside Community Hospital Foundation. Valley Hills Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
