Grandview soccer team routs Ki-Be

GRANDVIEW - Rigo Guerrero earned a hat trick for the Greyhounds as Grandview rolled over visiting Kiona-Benton 8-0 in a CWAC South match this past Saturday.

The win evens Grandview's record at 1-1 this season and puts them at 1-0 in league.

Guerrero got the scoring started for the 'Hounds early as he scored in the second minute. He was assisted by Juan Morales.

Able Aguilera scored the second Grandview goal, driving a shot home in the 12th minute. Morales picked up his second assist of the game on the Aguilera goal.

Guerrero's second goal came in the 18th minute as he was assisted by Josue Lopez.

Guerrero finished the hat trick by scoring unassisted in the 42nd minute.

Abel Romo scored Grandview's final goal in the 70th minute to finish the rout of Ki-Be.

Grandview had 20 shots on goal in the game to Ki-Be's two.

Grandview's keeper, Manuel Herrera, made two saves, while Ki-Be's Justin Aguilar stopped 12 Grandview shots.

With the league victory, Grandview sits tied with four other teams atop the CWAC South.

The 'Hounds will face Highland Tuesday at home. The match is scheduled to start at 6 p.m.
