Grandview pool to open June 9

GRANDVIEW - With the mercury steadily rising the Grandview Parks and Recreation Department announced the Grandview pool will be opening Friday, June 9, at 1 p.m.

The pool is located at Westside Park off of 2nd Street.

Swim pool fees for daily sessions will be $1 for persons 17 and under and $2 for persons 18 and older. A season ticket single pass will cost $30 for Grandview residents and $45 for non-city residents. A family pass will cost $75 for Grandview residents and $112.50 for non-city residents.

Swim parties can be arranged at the pool. They will cost $75 an hour. The pool manager must have 48 hours notice.

The general pool schedule will be: Monday - Friday, open swimming for the public from 1-4 p.m., adult lap swim from 5-6:15 p.m. and family swim from 6:30-8 p.m.

On Saturday the open swimming will be from 1-4 p.m. Adult lap swim will be from 4-5 p.m. and family swimming will be from 5-7 p.m.

The pool will be closed on Sundays.

There will four sessions of swim lessons this year. Session one will run from June 12 - June 22. Session two will run from June 26 - July 7. Session three will run from July 10 - July 20 and session four will run from July 24 - Aug. 3. Classes will run Monday through Thursday, with sessions scheduled for 11:15 - 11:45 a.m., from 11:45 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. from 12:15 - 12:45 p.m.

Pre-registration for swim lessons will take place at the Park's office on Monday and Tuesday, May 22 and 23, from 5-7 p.m.

Adult swim lessons will be offered in the early part of August. The cost will be $15 and $22.50 for non-city residents.
