Keeping baseball FUN, especially in the early stages of
youth baseball is a primary concern of the Babe Ruth League’s Cap Ripken
division. This division is comprised of children ages 6 to 12. The Sunnyside
Cal Ripken League has 130 boys and girls enrolled in our program this year. We
are pleased to have our first ever Girls 12-Under fastpitch division added to

I am writing this because someone in the neighborhood is
I understand the need to protect crops, but I found a
Golden-crowned sparrow by my house that appeared to be shot. It was very close
to a Brewer’s blackbird that also appeared shot.
I wish if people are going to shoot birds that they would
take some time and learn the difference between pests and our threatened
songbirds. They are protected and beautiful.
