Juan Zuniga, 78, of Granger passed away Friday, November 3, 2006, in Toppenish.

Juan was born Aug. 19, 1928, in Mission, Texas. He worked as a farm laborer. Juan did mechanical work, carpentry and electrical work.

Juan enjoyed gardening, cooking, coloring, western movies and country music.

Survivors include his wife, Angelita Chapa of Granger; five sons, Juan Zuniga Jr. of Granger, Miguel Zuniga and wife, Corrina Sanchez, of Sunnyside, Agapito Zuniga and wife, Julia Zuniga and Jose Zuniga and wife, Casey Cardenas, all of Granger, Juan Manuel Diaz Zuniga of San Antonio, Texas; three daughters, Luisa Zuniga Gonzalez and husband, Albert A. Limon, Martina Zuniga and husband, Carlos Martinez and Maria Zuniga and husband, Guadalupe Padilla, all of Granger; one brother, Guadalupe Zuniga of Mission, Texas; three sisters, Estella Gonzalez of Mission, Texas, Aurora Diaz and Trinidad Lozano, both of La Mesa, Texas; 20 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Viewing was held Sunday, Nov. 5, 2006, from 1 to 5 pm and Monday, Nov. 6, 2006, from noon to 7 pm. with Recitation of the Rosary held at 6 p.m. at Valley Hills Funeral Home Chapel, Sunnyside. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2006, at 1 p.m. at Valley Hills Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens, Sunnyside.
