Missing Sunnyside man back home safe and sound

It was a happy ending for Deanna Potter's search for her missing husband as Galen Potter was found at the Branding Iron in Toppenish Tuesday night.

Galen Potter of Sunnyside had been missing since Sunday morning when he left his house angry and depressed after having an adverse reaction to medication he was taking for diabetes and kidney problems.

Potter said she received a phone call from someone in Toppenish Tuesday night. They told her they had seen her husband at the Branding Iron and recognized him from fliers that were posted around town.

Potter called a cousin of hers in Zillah who went over and picked up her husband and brought him home.

She said she took her husband to his doctor on Wednesday and he was taken off his current medication. New medication is now being tried.

"He's back to his old self," Potter said of her husband. "He's happy and doing fine. It's nice."

Potter said she was overwhelmed by all of the support and thanked people for their phone calls and prayers.

"I'm ecstatic," she said of having her husband back.
