Jordan James Bos, 26, of Corvallis died Saturday, Nov. 18, 2006, at St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula as the result of an auto accident.

He was born May 16, 1980 in Glennallen, Alaska to James R. Bos and Laura L. Singer. He received his education in Alaska.

Jordan had a quiet, peaceful way about him and a heart that valued relationships with others more than things. He found contentment both in spending time with his family and in the eyes of his girls, Jessica and Niya. He gave to his family without asking anything in return and he cherished each one for who they were.

Jordan had a smile that would light up a room and laughter that was contagious. He did not need to be entertained, but had learned to enjoy the simple things in life, picking a wildflower bouquet or finding a unique rock.

Jordan loved to tinker and he had a talent for creativity. He enjoyed working on anything motorized and, if something didn't work, he had the drive and possessed the ingenuity to fix it. Jordan was quite the collector with an eye for possibilities.

He loved music and throughout his life had the ability to pick up any instrument and the talent to play it. Jordan was a master log crafter and finish carpenter. He loved hunting, fishing, boating and anything to do with the outdoors.

His parents, siblings, Jessica and Niya were his life. Jordan was a very loving father and had the most tender heart. It was his gentle loving nature that made him a joy to be around. He had a simple faith in God and knew his unconditional love for him. His life left a message of hope, love and caring.

Jordan is survived by his love, Jessica Marth; their daughter, Niya Renee; grandparents, Art and Laura Pittillo and Ken and Bev Bos; his mother, Laura Lynn (Bos) Singer and husband, Lincoln; his father, James Bos and wife, Brenda; five brothers, Joshua and wife, Tanya, Jacob and wife, Launa, and John, Justin and Lane Bos; two sisters, Lara and Mykala Bos; three nephews, Orion, Vins and Aidan Bos; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2006, at 2:30 at Whitesitt Funeral Home in Stevensville with Pastors Bill Casey and George Harris officiating. A reception was held at the United Methodist Church.

Should friends desire, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Niya Bos Scholarship Fund, True North Federal Credit Union, 901 Cushman, Fairbanks, Alaska, 99701-4616.
