Tammy Everts, most recently the deputy city clerk for Grandview, has been hired as the new marketing and development coordinator for the Yakima County Development Association, more commonly known as New Vision.

According to David McFadden, president of New Vision, Everts will work to raise the Yakima Valley's image as a business location and respond to inquiries from companies considering new facilities or investments in the region.

"Tammy first caught our attention as we worked with the City of Grandview on the Wal-Mart distribution center recruitment project," said McFadden. "She stood out during our recent selection process."

McFadden added that Everts is enthusiastic about economic development and brings a lot of experience to New Vision.

"We are excited to have her join our team," McFadden said.
