Maria Ramona Cienfuegos, 78, of Toppenish died Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2006, at her home.
She was born Aug. 10, 1928 in Villa de Garcia N.L., Mexico, the daughter of Gregorio and Paulita (Arais) Garcia. She received her education in Mexico. On Aug. 28, 1947 she married Manuel Cienfuegos in Mexico. The family settled in Toppenish in 1967.
She is survived by three daughters, Rosalinda Martinez and husband, Adalberto, and Ernestina Ciefuegos, all of Sunnyside and Martha Felan and husband, Apolonio, of Toppenish; two sons, Juan Manuel Cienfuegos and wife, Esther, and Cesar Cienfuegos and wife, Claudia, all of Toppenish; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Manuel Cienfuegos, in 1981; two sisters, Margarita and Guadalupe; and two brothers, Reyes and Ignacio.
Viewing and visitation will be held Thursday, Sept. 14, 2006, from 1 to 8 p.m. with a Rosary at 6 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, Sept. 15, 2006, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Sunnyside. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
