Breaking News: Outlook residents escape harm in drive-by shooting




Hugo Antunez-Mendoza, 24, and his brother, Aristeo Antunez-Mendoza, 22, both of Granger, passed away on Monday, April 16, 2007, in Prosser, due to an automobile accident.

Hugo was born Sept. 8, 1982, and Aristeo was born Jan. 8, 1985 in Tlacaquipa, Guerrero, Mexico to Refugio Antunez Altamirano and Ismaela Mendoza Ochoa. Hugo lived in Granger for the past four years and Aristeo for seven years. Both worked as farm laborers in the Valley.

Hugo married Minerva Altamirano-Hernandez in Granger in 2002.

He is survived by his wife, Minerva; and two children, Refugio and Adolfo, both of Granger; as well as a baby soon to be born. Both men are also survived by their mother, Ismaela of Tlacaquipa, Mexico;

two brothers, Isaias Antunez-Mendoza and Jose Juan Antunez-Mendoza, both of Granger; and three sisters, Leticia Ochoa of Granger, Antonia Antunez and Liliana Antunez, both of Tlacaquipa, Mexico.

They were preceded in death by their father.

Visitation is being held today, Thursday, April 19, 2007, from 1 to 7 p.m. at Prosser Funeral Home. Funeral services and viewing for Hugo and Aristeo will be held Friday, April 20, 2007, from 2 to 5 p.m. with services at 3 p.m. at the Church of God Seventh Day, 120 North A Street, Toppenish. Burial will be at Tlacaquipa Municipal Cemetery in Tlacaquipa, Mexico. Prosser Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
