Yakima County commissioners on Tuesday, yesterday, approved four resolutions updating the status of some job descriptions in the treasurer's office, prosecuting attorney's office and the district court.
"It's somewhat of a housekeeping process," explained Human Resources Director Linda Dixon. "All four resolutions deal with reclassification of duties." She said when job duties of a position in a county department are changed, then amendments are required to make sure it has the appropriate pay level.
One of the four resolutions, sought by the prosecutor's office, involves changing the actual number of employees.
Dixon said one of the county's prosecuting attorneys is on an extended leave of absence, and yesterday's action enables Prosecutor Ron Zirkle to add a temporary attorney to his office during the interim.
