SCHS Lady Knights win tournament opener

SEATTLE - Sunnyside Christian abandoned its zone defense yesterday and switched back to man-coverage in the fourth quarter. The end result was a 49-46 victory over Bellevue Christian in the opening round of a holiday hoop tournament hosted by Shoreline Christian High School.

Mabton girls fall to Napavine Tigers

SEATTLE - Unable to break Napavine's 1-2-2 full-court press, the Mabton High School girls basketball team fell to the Tigers, 50-44, yesterday afternoon in the finals of a holiday hoop tournament hosted by Seattle Christian High School.

Living nativity

The Sunnyside Seventh Day Adventist Church on Lincoln Avenue in Sunnyside had a living nativity for the public to enjoy recently. There was three scenes for the public to enjoy, a campsite with the tree wisemen, the manger scene and a scene with the inn-keeper telling everyone the inn is full.
