Kenneth M. Salts, 89, of Grandview died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007, at Valley Memorial Hospital in Yakima.

He was born in Beatrice, Neb. on March 30, 1918. He was employed by Balcom and Moe, Grange Supply in Grandview and Helicopter Services in Yakima He also owned and operated a Sub Shop in Sunnyside.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Loretta J. Salts; a son, Dennis Salts (Judy) of Yakima; a daughter, Kathryn Ostrowski (Frank) of Las Vegas, Nev.; three sisters, Eula Yager, Ruth and Charlotte Salts; four grandsons; two granddaughters; nine great-grandchildren; numerous step-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by brother, Oliver; sister, Elizabeth and his parents.

Viewing and visitation will held Thursday, Dec. 27, 2007, from 1 to 4 p.m. and Friday, Dec. 28, 2007, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, Grandview. A funeral service will be held Friday, Dec. 28, 2007, at 1 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, Grandview, with burial to follow at the Grandview cemetery.
