MARIAN GLADYS HAMMOND

Marian Gladys Hammond, 91, of

Spokane

peacefully passed away to our Lord Friday, Feb. 2, 2007, at 6 a.m.

She was born Sept. 26, 1915 on “The Palouse”.

Marian led a complete and full life having many experienced rangng from a weekend miner’s cook in the

Montana

gold hills to City Secretary for the Spokane Junior Bowl Association as well as operations manager at the Old North Division Lilac Lanes. She was inducted into the Spokane Women’s Bowling Association Hall of Fame in 1985. She was experienced and practiced bookkeeper.

Marian dedicated her life to family and friends showing only compassion, love and understanding through a kind and gentle heart. Marian was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt.

She is survived by her children, Donna and Darrell Tucker, Quovenne (Quo) Calvert and Dave and Pat Hammond; grandchildren, Kathy and Tom Basset, Mike Tucker, Jeff Calvert, Sam and Mary Calvert, Don and Margie Calvert; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She doted on each and every one.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald P. Hammond.

We, her family, will continue to honor Marian as mom, grandma and great-grandma, with a profound sense of love and gratitude for openly sharing her life using the extraordinary approach of showing only kindness. She was truly exceptional.

Funeral services to be held Monday, Feb. 5, 2007, at 1 p.m. at

Riplinger Funeral Home, 4305 N. Division,

Spokane
