Ana Mattos, 75, “A Gift
God” passed suddenly Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007, at
surrounded by all of her
children and many close relatives.
As an active member of the
community she brought a smile to everyone’s face, serving coffee and cookies to
travelers, and giving a helping hand to any in need.
She enjoyed cooking for any
who entered her home, gardening, sewing and playing dominos.
This tender and beautiful
woman touched all who met her. She taught us to love freely and to laugh
without restraint, how to be generous of spirit, to be truthful no matter the
consequences, to be hospitable to all and to have a humble heart. She was loved
by all who knew her and will be missed beyond expression.
She is survived by her
husband and true love, Bill Mattos; her three sons, Steven, Stanley and Stewart
Mattos; her daughter, Sandee Baker; along with many grandchildren and
great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her mother, Guadalupe Martinez;
five brothers; five sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews
A memorial service and
celebration of her life will be held Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007, beginning at 11
a.m. at the Cinebar Community Club.
This devoted wife, mother,
and friend will live in our hearts and memories forever.
