Oscar Sanchez Torres, 41, of Prosser, passed away Thursday, Feb. 14, 2007, at Kadlec Medical Center in the Tri-Cities.

He was born on Feb. 3, 1966, in El Ranchito, Mexico to Elias and Paula (Torres) Sanchez. He came to Prosser in 1990 and worked for Zediker Farms and Riverview Dairy in Mabton until becoming ill.

Oscar was a member of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church in Prosser. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family, soccer, fishing and watching television.

He is survived by his wife, Guadalupe “Lupe” Sanchez; his five children, Oscar Sanchez Jr., Elias Sanchez, Sonya Sanchez, Max Sanchez and Alexis Sanchez, all of Prosser; his father, Elias Sanchez of Mabton; eight brothers; five sisters; and many nieces and nephews.

Viewing and visitation will be held Saturday, Feb. 17, 2007, from 10 a.m. until noon and Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Prosser Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Monday, Feb. 19, 2007, at 11 a.m. at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church in Prosser. Concluding services and burial will follow in the Prosser Cemetery. Recitation of the Rosary will be held Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007, at Prosser Funeral Home.
