Wilma Alderman, 91, longtime Outlook resident, died on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007, at her home in Sunnyside. She was born Sept. 28, 1915, the daughter of David S. and Lespa D. (Hewitt) Sawyer in Waterville.
On Jan. 7, 1949 she married Russell Alderman in Outlook. Following their marriage they lived in Toppenish for one year before making their home in Outlook.
Her husband died on Dec. 6, 1972. She continued to make the Lower Valley her home.
She is survived by one daughter, Frances McCloud of Outlook; one son, David Barrett of San Marcus, Texas; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Darrell Wilsey of Chelan and Willis Sawyer of Boise, Idaho.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and four brothers.
Viewing and visitation will be held Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007, from 1 to 5 p.m. and Thursday, March 1, 2007, from 8:30 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 2 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside, with burial to follow at the Outlook Cemetery. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
