Antonio Iglesias Saldana,
87, of Mabton died peacefully and went with our Lord and Savior on Saturday,
Jan. 13, 2007, at his home in Mabton.
He was born April 19, 1919,
in Santa Rosa, Mexico to Ramon and Juanita (Iglesias) Saldana.
He was a very traditional,
intelligent, giving, caring, fun-loving, witty husband, father and grandfather.
Antonio was well known for his BIG produce garden that he loved to grow year
after year and also enjoyed sharing with all during the summer months.
He loved to have
conversations about his life experiences while growing up, but the happiest
moments came when he was surrounded by his beloved family.
We all love him greatly and will miss him
immensely, but we know that in our hearts we will see our loving Antonio in
Antonio is survived by his
wife of 57 years, Cirria (Guerra) Saldana of Mabton; one sister, Luz Gonzalez
of Santa Rosa; Together they had three daughters, Yolanda and husband,
Apolinario Zuniga of Granger, Gloria and husband, Pete Alvarado of Mabton and
Martha and husband, Sotero Cabellero of Grandview; one son, Ramon Saldana and
wife, Sylvia of Yelm; 14 grandchildren, David Cantu, Gloria Zuniga and Alex
Zuniga, all of Granger, Elva (Cantu) Mendoza and Stephen Caballero, all of
Grandview, Pauly Zuniga of Prosser, Jose Zuniga of Sunnyside, Antonio Saldana,
Jamie Saldana and Elizabeth Saldana, all of Yelm, Melissa (Cabellero) Fragozo
of Pasco, Jerry Alvarado, Michael Alvarado and Michelle Alvarado, all of
Mabton; and 18 greatgrandchildren. All of whom he loved dearly.
Visitation will be held
Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2007, from 1 to 7 p.m. at Prosser Funeral Home. Funeral
services for Antonio will be held Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2007, at 11 a.m. at
Prosser Funeral Home with concluding services and burial to follow at Mabton
Prosser Funeral Home is in
charge of the arrangements.
