WILLIAM HENRY KRESSE
William “Bill” Henry Kresse,
53, a long-time Sunnyside resident and businessman, passed away Friday, Jan.
19, 2007, at
He was born March 16, 1953,
in Sunnyside to Henry Lawrence “Larry” and Patricia J. (
) Kresse. William received his
education in Sunnyside, and graduated with the Sunnyside High School Class of
1972. He worked for the Oregon State Department of Forestry for two years.
While working for the Forestry Department, Bill adopted a half-wolf,
half-shepherd, dog he named, Nova. His overwhelming love of animals included, a
black lab, named Sugar, which was a gift from his father, and a foster dog
In 1974, Bill began work for
his family business Kresse Furnace and Air Conditioning. He was a man of few
words and cherished time spent with his family.
Bill was an honorary member
of the Sunnyside VFW. He was also a caregiver for many elderly people,
including Orval Reeseman.
Bill is survived by his two
sisters, Janet Brown and husband, Steve, and Terra Brinton and husband, Rich,
and one brother, Cary Kresse and wife, Dorris, of Outlook. He is also survived
by his stepmother, Mary Kresse of Sunnyside, as well

be held Thursday, Jan. 25, 2007, from noon to 8 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home in
Sunnyside. Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 26, 2007, at 1 p.m. at
Smith Funeral Home
