‘Sweetheart’ pancake breakfast slated for Feb. 10

residents are invited to a ‘sweetheart’ pancake breakfast scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 10, at

Grandview

’s Bethany Presbyterian Church.

The 9 to 11 a.m. breakfast fundraiser will be held in the church’s fellowship hall (Second and

Birch Street

).

Meal costs are set at $5 per person, or $20 for families larger than four.

Monies raised at the breakfast will be used to help fund the ministry of Nate and Crystal Mazzuca. The couple and their two young sons will be leaving for

Swaziland

on Feb. 15 to serve the Youth for Christ organization.

Taco feed planned at tonight’s hoop basketball contest

The parents of the

Sunnyside

High School

senior class will stage a taco feed fundraiser at the Friday, Jan. 26, basketball game between the visiting Eastmont Wildcats and the host Grizzly

boys

team.

The $4 a plate meal will feature two tacos, rice and beans. The taco feed will get underway at 5:30 p.m.

Monies raised Friday night will be used to help fund the 2007 senior class graduation party.

Outlook Grange spring dinner set Sunday, Feb. 25

OUTLOOK – The public is invited to partake in a scrumptious roast beef dinner, complete with all the trimmings, at this year’s Outlook Granger spring dinner.

Scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 25, from noon to 3 p.m., meal costs are set at $6 for adults and $3 for children 3 to 12 years of age.

The elaborate dinner menu will consist of roast beef, potatoes and gravy, rutabagas, green beans, salad, rolls, drinks and pie for dessert.

The Outlook Grange has hosted its spring dinner at its hall at

, since 1934.

Super Bowl party, Elvis look-alike gatherings planned

TOPPENISH – The Fraternal Order of Eagles lodge in Toppenish will host Elvis Presley impersonator Justin Shandor of

Las Vegas

this Saturday, Jan. 27.

The following weekend, the Toppenish FOE will host a Super Bowl party for its members and guests, invited to watch the Chicago Bears battle the Indianapolis Colts on big screen televisions. Drink and game specials will be offered throughout the afternoon that Sunday, Feb. 4.

The Saturday, Jan. 27, Elvis look-alike and sound-alike performance features Shandor, considered by some as the top impersonator of the King of rock ‘n roll. Dinner show tickets are priced at $22 per person, and can be ordered by telephoning (509) 865-2229. Dinner will be served from 6 to 8 p.m., with the live entertainment to start soon thereafter.
