TOPPENISH - Adrian Ozuna, 20, who is the primary suspect in a drive-by shooting which occurred Jan. 19 in the 1300 block of Jackson Avenue in Sunnyside, has been arrested.

30-year-old man charged with unlawful imprisonment

A report of domestic violence in the 1200 block of South Ninth Street last Wednesday, Jan. 24, led Sunnyside police to a woman being held against her will. Agustine J. Avalos, 30, was arrested as a result of the discovery.

Area churches band together to sponsor local Habitat home

Churches from Sunnyside, Grandview and Prosser are banding together to help build a Yakima Valley Partners Habitat for Humanity home here in Sunnyside on Carousel Road. The organization also recently received a $2,500 grant from American West Bank to assist with the project.

Grandview has its own problems. God help anyone in that town who owns a lawnmower. The recent rash of thefts of these grass clippers is alarming.
