Grandview man's murderer sentenced to two life terms in prison

The man accused of murdering Grandview resident Kevin Underwood in April 2006 plead guilty to his murder last week.

Richard Rangel received two life sentences without the possibility of parole following his guilty pleas to second degree murder and first degree assault domestic violence.

In the incident in which Underwood was killed, his girlfriend, Lee Ann Ferson, was also stabbed.

Two people were charged with rendering criminal assistance to Rangel in the incident. In a deal with prosecutors earlier this year, Sandra Borboa pled guilty to residential burglary domestic violence in exchange for dropping the criminal assistance charge.

Juan Sias is also charged with rendering criminal assistance and has a trial date set for Aug. 20.
