GRANDVIEW - The Grandview Neptunes fell to the Prosser Piranhas at home Tuesday night, 634-179, which moved their record to 2-4 in Mid-Valley Summer Swim League standings.
The Grandview girls powered out 109 points, while the boys contributed 70 to the overall score.
Grandview's Areesa Trevino was the only Neptune to place in this category, earning a second place finish in the butterfly with a time of 48.25 seconds behind Prosser's Leah Blakney's first place finish time of 43.89.
Trevino placed third in the freestyle and breaststroke events.
Grandview's Taylor Hall and Tiana Perez each powered out a first place win in this category.
Hall took first place in the breaststroke with a time of 36.12, forcing Prosser's Makensie Forsyth to a second place time of 40.86.
Perez took first in the backstroke with a time of 33.06. Forsyth was second to Perez with a time of 33.84. Neptune Breanna Lopez took third place honors with a time of 38.56.
Prosser's Forsyth took first in the butterfly with a time of 29.71, but Neptune Hailey Walker trailed closed behind with a second place finish time of 35.78.
In the freestyle, Forsyth took first, Hall took second and Perez took third.
Prosser dominated the Neptunes in this category.
Grandview's Jessica Morales took second place in the freestyle and butterfly, and finished third in the individual medley and breaststroke. Teammate Samantha Castaneda took third in the backstroke.
Neptune Tiffany Owens led the Neptunes with two first place finishes in the individual medley and breaststroke.
Owens finished the breaststroke in 33.90, forcing Piranha Karley Crawford to a second place finish in 34.12. In the individual medley, Owens clocked in at 2:29.90, with Prosser's Brandi Hobbick trailing behind for a second place finish in 2:31.31.
Owens's teammate Jessica Hall took third in the freestyle.
Prosser's Bre Bierle bested Neptune Cheyen Schenck in this category with first place wins in the breaststroke and individual medley with times of 29.35 and 2:19.65, respectively. Schenck's second place time in the breaststroke was 32.37 and her second place finish in the individual medley clocked in at 2:33.90.
Neptune Allison Grow earned four second place finishes in this category and one third place finish in the breaststroke. Prosser's Ruthie Watkins took first in the backstroke, freestyle, individual medley, and butterfly, while her teammate Diana Smith took first in the breaststroke.
Grandview's Taran Perez and Maurice Prieto were dominated by Piranha Scott Blakney, who took first place in the freestyle, butterfly, breaststroke and backstroke. Perez earned a second place finish in the backstroke in 56.03 and a third place finish in the butterfly in 1:01.93. Prieto took second in the breaststroke and third in the freestyle with times of 1:04.65 and 46.56.
Grandview's Tito Lopez earned two third place finishes in this category, which was dominated by Prosser's Taylor Gant. Lopez took third in the butterfly and individual medley and teammate Micah Binfet took third in the breaststroke.
Grandview's Jared Churchill earned second place finishes behind Prosser's Ty Hobbick in the backstroke and individual medley.
Hobbick finished the backstroke in 29.78 with Churchill clocking in at 32.00. In the individual medley, Churchill finished second with a time of 2:23.78 to Hobbick's time of 2:21.71.
In the freestyle, Churchill finished second to Prosser's Will Burgett, who clocked in at 24.03. Churchill clocked in at 25.28.
Churchill also garnered a third place finish in the butterfly.
Grandview's Ryan Contreras earned a second place finish in the butterfly to Prosser's Brandon Hobbick, who clocked in at 23.50. Contreras trailed close behind, clocking in at 23.59.
It was neck and neck for Contreras and Hobbick in the freestyle as well. Hobbick clocked in at 20.87, compared to Contreras's second place time of 21.25.
Grandview's Matt Concienne dominated this category, earning first place finishes in the backstroke, freestyle and butterfly.
In the freestyle, Concienne clocked in at 20.31, with Prosser's Kellen Crawford earning a second place finish just three-tenths of a second behind him.
In the backstroke, Concienne clocked in at 27.03 to Crawford's second place time of 28.81.
