Mary Therese 'Terry' Owens, 53, of Pasco passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2007, at her home.

‘Terry,' as she was known to all of us, was born in Pasco on June 3, 1954, to Steve Severson and Pricilla (LaLonde-Severson) Jenkins.

Terry was an avid animal lover. She was an accomplished equestrian, learning horsemanship from her years of working at the Cloninger's Canter Club then in Kennewick. She spent summers showing her American saddlebred brilliant.

Terry moved with her family to the Yakima Valley, where she met and married Mike Baysinger. Terry and Mike had two sons, Nathan and Seth Baysinger. They relocated to Irrigon, Ore., for Mike's work.

In later years, Terry relocated to the Yakima Valley, where she met Ron Owens. Ron and Terry had a daughter, (Mandi) Amanda Owens.

Terry's work history was predominantly in sales and marketing including business sales with Richland Chamber of Commerce and Merit Resources in Sunnyside. She also had a heart for people in need, evidenced by the many hours at local Rescue Missions and other organizations.

Terry's children and her friends were her most treasured assets. All that know her will remember her wonderful quick wit and unmistakable laugh.

We will miss her.

Terry is survived by her children, Nathan Baysinger of Richland, Seth Baysinger of Benton City, and daughter, Amanda (Owens) Brown and husband, Clayton Brown, of Bothell; her grandchildren, Bret, Cadin and Austin; a sister, Patty (Severson) Loud and husband Jake, of Fairbanks.

Terry was preceded in death by her parents, Steve Severson and Pricilla Jenkins; and a sister, Christy.

A celebration of Terry's life is scheduled for today, Monday, July 24, 2007, at 4 p.m. at Einan's Funeral Home, 915 Bypass Highway, Richland.

There will be a reception immediately following. The family invites you to come and share a story.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Benton County Humane Society, 8620 W. Gage Blvd., Kennewick, WA 99336.
