Elizabeth Anglin, 92, a longtime Sunnyside resident, went to be in the arms of her heavenly Father on Thursday, May 31, 2007, at Sun Terrace Retirement and Living Assisted Community, in Sunnyside.

Elizabeth was born on July 8, 1914, in Lake Chelan, the daughter of Roy and Margaret (Little) Barton. In May of 1941, she married Hal Anglin in Wenatchee. They lived in Okanogan, Wenatchee, Colville and Moses Lake, before moving to Sunnyside in 1962.

Elizabeth was known here for her “Lines from Liz” column in the Sunnyside Sun from 1964 to 1986.

She was a member of the Sunnyside Presbyterian Church.

Elizabeth is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Hal Anglin; one son, Brian Anglin of Eugene, Ore.; and a sister, Roy Ellen Statum of Montana.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Grace Norton, Ruth Blair and Clara Shivley; and one brother, Roy Barton.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Elizabeth’s memory may contribute to the Sunnyside Presbyterian Church.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 9, 2007, at 10 a.m. at the Sunnyside Presbyterian Church. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
